Bonnybridge Primary School Garden Project
The site
Bonnybridge Primary School is one of two primary schools in the Bonnybridge area. The school currently doesn’t have a dedicated outdoor teaching area and so the development of this project will help to provide the school with a hands-on teaching resource for environmental learning – an important part of the new curriculum for excellence.
The project
Bonnybridge Primary has been successful in achieving eco-schools status and would like to build on this success with some additions to their outdoor spaces. They would like to develop an eco-area within the school grounds which will be centred around three mature trees.
The project will include the construction and installation of a series of benches, bird feeders, bird boxes and raised beds. As such, the bulk of the work will involve the construction of these items, as well as the barrowing of soil and compost for the raised beds.
