Unlike many other organisations, the project that we run is a combined carbon reduction and offset project. We believe that carbon offset schemes can only work alongside the efforts of everyone to also reduce their carbon emissions as well. As such, we hope that you will choose to plant one or more trees with us to offset some of your CO2 and then use our factsheets to learn how you can reduce your emissions still further.
3 steps to calculate your CO2:
1/ Answer a series of questions. The link below will open a new window on your screen where you will be guided through a series of questions, which will take about 5 minutes to answer.
2/ Your CO2 output. The carbon calculator will tell you how much carbon dioxide (CO2) you produce and you will be able to compare yourself to the national average and to long-term government targets for carbon output.
3/ What you should do. Return to this page where you can find out how many trees would need to be planted to offset the CO2 that you have produced.
What is your annual carbon production?
We have chosen to use the UK government’s recently launched carbon calculator because it has been researched and developed extensively by the UK government and is run as a public service. As such, we feel that it is the most impartial calculator available and that it will tend to be more accurate than most other systems.
