Our Projects

Planet Pledge Project

From 2010, we will be encouraging participants on all of our projects to engage in our Planet Pledge Project. By doing this, participants will make pledges to change their habits and behaviours in ways that reduce their impact on the environment and play an active role in tackling climate change.

We will ask people to make pledges across 5 key categories – transport, home energy, biodiversity, waste reduction and consumer behaviour. The project will play a role in changing environmental impact behaviour and will feed into the aim of the Scottish Government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and by 80% by 2050.

Caledonian Team Challenge Project

To aid in the development of responsible and successful business, we provide high quality team challenge opportunities. These allow organisations to offer their teams and staff members the opportunity to develop and interact through hands-on conservation projects.

Biodiversity Weekend Project

We visit many parts of Scotland from the Borders to the Highlands on our residential conservation projects.

These weekend events offer a great way to learn more about our natural heritage, while protecting and improving it for future generations. You will also meet new people, have fun and learn about what you can do to reduce your environmental impact.

Caledonian Woodland Project

Scotland is one of the least wooded countries in Europe, but one of the few where native woodland cover is growing.  We are playing a role in the planting and management of new native species woodlands and you can help:

  • We run native species tree planting days and weekends each winter.
  • Are you looking for an interesting gift idea? We can plant tree/s on your behalf for a friend or family member.

By supporting this project, you will be playing a role in improving Scotland’s natural environment and in combating climate change.

Good Wood Project

New Caledonian Woodlands runs a project working with people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues. The project uses community-based environmental conservation as a forum for improving physical health, mental health, well-being and confidence among participants.
