Location |
Garvald, South Lanarkshire |
Dates |
Sunday 7 March 2010 |
Activity |
Garvald House is situated near Biggar in the Scottish Borders and consists of a large main house with a number of converted outbuildings. It also has a number of acres of land, a large portion of which is made up of woodland. Garvald is a residential unit that provides both accommodation and support services for adults with learning disabilities. It is a voluntary organisation that has charitable status. They have a numbers of acres of woodland which they are restoring by removing conifers and rhododendrons and replanting with native species. We will be planting up a new area of woodland on the edge of the existing woodland. |

We will collect participants from outside Jimmy Chung’s Chinese Restaurant on Waverley Bridge at 10.00 am and return you by about 5.00 pm. |

£15 per person including lunch, transport and lots of native species trees. |
