Dates |
Saturday 17 April 2010 |
Activity |
A new native woodland, surrounding a reservoir, is emerging to replace a conifer plantation which was felled a few years ago. Unfortunately a fire destroyed some of the early planting and there are still major gaps. We will be planting native broadleaved trees and protecting them with tree shelters. The woodland belongs to a group of people who like care about native woodlands. |
Food |
As ever, we will be offering an exceptionally delicious lunch of soup, sandwiches and cakes and also lots of hot drinks and biscuits. There will also be mulled wine to finish the day. |
Transport |
We will collect participants from outside Jimmy Chung’s Chinese Restaurant on Waverley Bridge at 10.00 am and return you by about 5.00 pm. |
Cost |
£15 per person including lunch, transport and lots of native species trees. |
